I have tried both, but I personally prefer Fleece, only reason why is because it’s less messy and it controls the smell more.

64. Guinea Pigs in general do not have very good eyesight.

65. Some Guinea pigs have red eyes, due to the lack if pigment. This is common in Himalayan, white and some other light coloured Guinea Pigs.

69. Sometimes Guinea Pigs teeth can become misaligned which can cause overgrowth

As you can see there is ever such a slight misalignment which can cause issues.

70. Guinea Pigs don’t normally like their hair being stroked the wrong way.

This might be confusing especially for owners of an Abyssinian, because they’re fur goes in all directions, but the easiest way to stroke them is by starting at the head and working your way down the back.

71. When you’re stroking your Guinea Pig, if you rest your palm on top of their head they will normally shove you off.

The only boy of mine who seems to do this is Loki, the others don’t seem as bothered.

72. Guinea Pigs sometimes bite, but it’s not in their nature.

So my boys lick and then nibble.I have only ever been bitten once and that was by Herbie.

This is Herbie licking and then nibbling
This is Loki just licking.

73. Guinea Pigs fart

And the worst for it is LOKI! I have ever smelt anything so bad in my life!

But he’s cute, so it’s fine.

74. Guinea pig poop come out in the same shape and size, unless there is something wrong. If they are too soft or come out in a chain, this can mean something is going on with their digestion.

So here we have 2 very normal looking poops. The left is Herbies at 1 and the right is Lumi’s at 8 weeks old.

75. Guinea Pigs poop a lot!

This is just 8 hours of poop

76. It’s normal to see some white when a Guinea Pigs pee, it’s just calcium deposits from their urine.

77. If you want to give your Guinea Pigs good exercise then set them up a safe area on the floor, so they can enjoy exploring.

This was Loki and Thor’s floor rime run when I first got them.

78. Guinea pigs can eat things like Grass, clover and Dandelions from your front/back garden! Just make sure they’re all clean from pesticides.

79. Guinea Pigs can swim if needed, but you shouldn’t just put them in a pool, ocean or deep tub

I mean surely this is common sense…

80. Guinea Pigs hearing is very sensitive. High frequencies will make them uncomfortable, so you will hear them chudder.

Herbie didn’t like the sound of a old phone ringing on the tv once and decided to jump off my lap and face plant the floor, which resulted in him knocking his front teeth out..

This was one of Herbies teeth that he knocked out.

I hope you have enjoyed the next 20, so 80 out of 100. If you did, please keep an eye out for the next 20, which will be uploaded tomorrow.
